LISTERINE – Make Mouthwash and Flossing Part of Your Oral Care Routine
Our family has officially been in school for one month now. This means that things are in full swing juggling work, school, sports, allergy shots, homework, and all the other things that always seem to come up. We are getting a routine down slowly but surely.
One of my goals this school year is to help my children become more conscious of their hygiene and making sure the kids brush their teeth at least twice a day, once before school and before bed. You would think that after all these years the kids would know to brush their teeth, but no! I have to remind them every single time.

My 7 year old basically just doesn’t care and is always out and about getting messy. My 10-year old doesn’t really care a whole lot yet either, but I know that will change any day, now that she is a tween. Unlike some parents, I just can’t sit around waiting on my kids to figure it out. I believe healthy habits have to be taught. Kids need to know how important it is to take care of their teeth. I mean geez they only get one set.
That’s basically why I took this opportunity. I thought maybe getting in some fun new oral hygiene products would help motivate them, especially with flossing and using mouthwash. LISTERINE sent me multiple products to try out including:

Getting in a variety of new oral hygiene products had certainly helped motivate them, especially with flossing and using mouthwash.
Healthy White Mouthwash
I’m like everyone else I know and want whiter teeth, so I was pretty excited to try the Healthy White mouthwash. It restores enamel and whitens teeth in addition to giving you fresher breath. For those of us living in Portlandia drinking coffee all day we need as many teeth whitening products, we can get! If you are going to use this mouthwash in the morning you have to wait 30 minutes before having your coffee, FYI.
Smart Rinse Anti-Cavity Mouthwash.
The other product I was most excited to receive was the Smart Rinse anticavity mouthwash. They sent me a bottle of it in a Barbie theme, which was perfect for my daughter. She has severe allergies, so having a product to thoroughly freshen her breathe is important. This mouthwash has a device in it that allows just a little bit of mouthwash to pour out of the bottle. All she has to do is squeeze the bottle and the mouthwash pours out. As soon as she stops squeezing the liquid stops.
UltraClean Access Flosser
For my oldest son I was excited to get the UltraClean Access flosser. He has an orthodontic appliance that runs along the inside of the bottom teeth. This appliance makes it difficult to floss or brush adequately. I love that he can use this tool to reach way back and floss a little better.
This item also works well for people that still have their wisdom teeth, like me, and have a hard time flossing that far back in their mouths. This flosser is just one product in their new line of flosses.
I liked all of the flosses they sent me to try out. My teeth are close together and I usually can not get floss in between all of my teeth, but this floss is tough and thicker than other kinds. I was able to get it in between my teeth and us it without breaking it. (TMI?)
PocketPaks
I’m not sure how this is possible, but I had never tried PocketPaks before. After using them I love them. I do not like to chew gum, so this product is awesome and works super fast.
