How to Host a Tea Party Themed Baby Shower
Pick a date for the tea party!
First things first the mom to be needs to select a date that works for her and the hostess.
Once the date is set, send out invitations to the honoree’s guest list. Because this is a tea party you will want to indicate suggested attire on the invitation.
Buy tea party supplies.
Purchase tea and related accessories like tea cups and saucers. You can find pretty tea cups at antique stores. You’ll want to have several teapots in order to brew a variety of teas for your guests. I recommend Twinings of London herbal tea.
Twinings herbal teas offer a range of 17 blends for you to explore and enhance your relaxing moments, recharging me-time and enriching pursuits. Twinings of London has been providing quality tea experiences for more than 300 years, since 1706 when Thomas Twining opened the House of Twining in London to sell the finest teas, herbs and infusions. Currently nine Twinings master blenders travel the world to find only the best teas, spices, herbs and fruit infusions available.
Have iced tea available as well for guests that may not drink hot tea. Iced tea is easy to make. Fill up a pitcher full of ice and set aside. Boil a small pot of water with 4 – 6 tea bags in it. After the tea has been in the boiling water long enough, pour the water over the ice. Stir and sweeten to taste.

Create Eye Catching Charcuterie Boards
Creating a series of charcuterie boards with meat, fruit, cheese, crackers, olives, nuts, and spreads. These are easy to make and look beautiful. For items not easily identifiable put a label near them.
Step 1: Find some good looking boards to build your platters on. Large cutting boards, marble slabs, slate boards and glass platters are all excellent options.
Step 2: Choose a variety of meats, prosciutto, and salamis.
Step 3: Add a variety of cheese. Mix hard with soft and pop in some color. Good choices are Brie, Havarti, Gouda, Hot Pepper, Mozzarella, Provolone, and Blue Cheese.
Step 4: Add some olives, artichokes, pickle vegetables, and colorful antipasti.
Step 5: Add a few spreads, jams and mustards with a variety of crackers and bread sticks.
Step 6: Mix in a colorful variety of fresh and dried fruit such as grapes, berries, dried apricots, apple and pear slices.
Step 7: Use a variety of nuts, like almonds, pistachios, and pecans. Avoid peanuts and walnuts due to common allergies.
Step 8: It’s all about the arrangement. Make one board fruit and cheese and another board meat and cheese. Pop in some mint or rosemary for aesthetics. Slicing a pomegranate in half, looks good too.
Finger Foods
Small sandwiches, scones, and tiny quiche are standard tea party food.
Delicate Desserts
Serve a variety of small desserts on pretty tiered china. Dessert ideas include mini cakes, macaroons, mini pies, and other colorful individual pastries.
